Lugar y fecha de nacimiento: 1812 en la Ciudad de México.

Lugar y fecha de fallecimiento: 1894 en Tulancingo, Hidalgo.

Biografía

Fue obispo de Tulancingo en 1863 y político mexicano.Tuvo la regencia del 21 de julio de 1863 al 12 de junio de 1864 como sustitución de Antonio de Labastida en el Segundo Imperio Mexicano y después de que terminó su breve regencia volvió a la iglesia.

Tuvo problemas con los franceses porque publicó una propuesta de revisión de contrato de bienes conferidos, cementerios y del matrimonio civil.También estuvo en contra de aspectos liberalizantes por parte de Maximiliano, debido a eso Juan Bautista fue retirado de la regencia.

Cuando triunfó la República, se exilió a otro país.Regresó a mi México y en 1894 falleció en Tulancingo, Hidalgo.
